WVU Football Offers FCS Transfer DL During Hunt for Depth
The WVU football program extended an offer to an FCS defensive line transfer on Wednesday.
Brandon Lane (6-foot-3, 300 pounds) posted about receiving an offer from West Virginia on X (Twitter). In addition to his WVU offer, Lane has also earned interest from major programs like Cal, Indiana, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Washington among others. Fellow West Virginia school Marshall has also offered Lane.

Lane recorded 44.5 tackles and six tackles for a loss during the 2023 season, his second with Stephen F. Austin.
The Kansas City native was considered a three-star recruit out of high school and has two years left of eligibility.
While WVU head coach Neal Brown did recently say any new transfer additions would be more of a luxury than a necessary, the defensive line is a spot that can always use depth.
