WVU has locked in a visit with Zandamela for next week.
Most experts view Zandamela, a Clearwater, Fla. native, as an attractive offensive lineman. Zandamela’s lone season at USC coupled with his recruiting status prior to 2024 and his remaining eligibility – he has four years left – make him such a sought after player.
Zandamela, an interior offensive lineman was regarded as USC’s top 2024 recruit when he signed with the Trojans out of high school. He was rated as the No. 46 overall prospect and the No. 1 offensive lineman in the 2024 class by 247 Sports.
While WVU’s offensive line has been its most consistent unit in recent years, especially during the 2023 season, but losing anchors Zach Frazier and Doug Nester are naturally creating questions about if the current group can keep up the same level of play moving forward. Adding a player of the caliber of Zandamela would bolster the talent and depth tasked with protecting Garrett Greene and company.
