WVU Football Edge Marshon Oxley

In the midst of locking up more high school recruits to their 2025 class, the WVU football program also signed a junior college player looking to elevate his game.

Marshon Oxley, a junior college edge rusher, signed with West Virginia on Wednesday, just two days after announcing his commitment to the Mountaineers.

Oxley actually committed to WVU during an official visit over the weekend. Before that visit, WVU defensive line coach William Green took a trip to visit Oxley.

Prior to taking his game to the junior college level for more playing time, Oxley spent two seasons at Colorado State. In 2023, he posted 26 tackles, 5.5 tackles for a loss and four sacks.

Oxley (6-foot-2, 225 pounds) then recorded 42 total tackles, 12 sacks and a forced fumble in 11 games for the Hutchison College Blue Dragons in 2024.

Oxley picked WVU over offers from schools like Appalachian State, an opportunity to rejoin Colorado State, Georgia State, New Mexico State, Washington State and Western Kentucky among others.
