WVU Football WR recruit Zion Crumpton

Even as their 2025 class is beginning to take shape, the WVU football staff still has their eyes on new players in future classes.

One of the players to land an offer is wide receiver Zion Crumpton, a class of 2026 prospect from Montgomery, Ala. Crumpton (6-foot-1, 163 pounds) has already earned a three-star rating from one national recruiting outlet.

Rivals ranks the Carver High School product as their No. 16 Alabama player in the 2026 class. Most of Crumpton’s success in high school has come as a wide receiver, but he’s listed as an athlete in some recruiting circles and could move over to the defensive side of the ball as a defensive back in college.

Beyond his WVU offer, Crumpton programs like Arkansas, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt have also shown interest.
