WVU Football to Learn Decision of Top 2024 In-State Recruit Tonight

The WVU football program is preparing to learn if they landed the top ranked in-state recruit.
Robby Martin (6-foot-5, 285 pounds), the No. 1 offensive lineman in the 2024 class from West Virginia, is set to announce his much anticipated commitment decision tonight. After previously saying he would commit at 3:30 pm ET on July 31 weeks ago, he tweeted on Sunday that he switched the time to 6 pm ET Monday evening.
Martin plays football in Huntington, W.V., where he also won a state title in wrestling. WVU is joined by Maryland, Penn State and Syracuse make up Martin’s final 4 schools.
He lists himself as a four-star recruit on Twitter, but it is unclear where that rating comes from since all four major recruiting outlets have him as a three-star.
That being said, ESPN, On3 and 247Sports all rank him as the top player in West Virginia for 2024. Rivals doesn’t rank West Virginia recruits. His national interior line ranking varies from No. 20 (Rivals) to No. 40 (On3).
In a past interview with WVSN, Martin described himself as big, versatile and physical. He said he’s always been a West Virginia fan growing up and wants a family atmosphere at his future program.
Will 2024 3-Star OL Robby Martin Fulfill Lifelong Dream at WVU or Join Another School?
Martin last visited WVU at the end of June.
