WVU Football recruit Cal Thrush

WVU Football playing at home this Saturday will allow a three-star recruit from Ohio to make his first trip to Morgantown.

Cal Thrush, who is primarily considered and Edge rusher recruiting wise, posted that he will be in attendance for West Virginia’s game against Oklahoma State. Thrush (6-foot-4, 225 pounds) is a class of 2025 prospect out of Upper Arlington High School in Columbus, Ohio.

“I will be at West Virginia University this Saturday!! Super excited to get down to Morgantown for the first time!!,” said Thrush in his post. While he’s only received three total offers to this point, one of them is from a Big 12 school.

Thrush has offers on the table from Ball State, Cincinnati and Kent State so far. Obviously, there’s now a chance he could add the Mountaineers to that mix if his upcoming visit goes well. 247 Sports is the only national outlet to offer Thrush a star rating to this point.

He visited Cincinnati for their game on Oct. 10 and was at Duke back in September. Thrush also plays tight end and basketball in high school.
