West Virginia is coming off a dominating performance in a big win over Oklahoma State, but oddsmakers suggest the WVU Big 12 win streak will come to an end in their next game. Major sportsbooks open their lines for Week 7 with WVU a home underdog against Iowa State.

Both DraftKings and FanDuel have the Cyclones as a 3.5-point favorite when they when they meet the Mountaineers under the Milan Puskar Stadium lights.

As expected, WVU head coach Neal Brown was in a good mood after West Virginiaโ€™s 38-14 win over Oklahoma State on Saturday. But while Brown is satisfied with the dominating win, he also knows itโ€™s only one game and the Mountaineers have another difficult test coming up next week.

During his postgame press conference followingย the game, Brown touched on how what went well for his team lined up with what he knew theyโ€™d have to do in order to win.

Brown wants his players to enjoy the road win, but at the same time, knows they need to turn the page and focus on a ranked Iowa State team coming to Morgantown.

Neal Brown Wants WVU to Enjoy Win Before Turning Page to Iowa State

โ€œI think that this league is really hard. Each week is a new challenge, and so what you have to do is you want to celebrate it. Sometimes, we donโ€™t take enough in this profession to really celebrate. This is a really big deal,โ€ said Brown. โ€œWe came into a tough venue versus a program thatโ€™s won 10 games a lot of times versus a head coach thatโ€™s going to be in the Hall of Fame at some point, and we played a complete game. So thatโ€™s a big deal, so we want to enjoy that. We want to enjoy the plane ride home, we want to watch the game tomorrow, and then when we flip it over to Iowa State, I know thatโ€™s a huge challenge, and itโ€™s going to be completely different.โ€

WVU return home for a showdown with Iowa State. The Mountaineers and Cyclones are set to kickoff at 8 pm ET on Oct. 12. WVU will debut their new Coal Rush uniform against ISU.

The Saturday night atmosphere will also serve as the backdrop to Iowa State quarterback Rocco Bechtโ€™s father Anthony being honored. Former Mountaineer Anthony Becht was unable to attend his induction into the WVU Sports Hall of Fame and will be honored when his son is in town.

Both WVU and Iowa State are among five remaining undefeated teams in the Big 12 standings. Iowa State sits at 5-0 (2-0, Big 12) after a 43-21 win over Baylor.
