WVU Men’s Soccer Tops Multiple Polls

Following a thrilling 5-2 win over in-state foe, the Marshall Thundering Herd, and a win against Sun Belt Conference rival Coastal Carolina, the WVU men’s soccer team finds itself in the coveted No. 1 spot in multiple polls.

Led by Coach Dan Stratford, the Mountaineers (11-0-4) was named No. 1 in the country in both the Top Drawer Soccer and College Soccer News rankings on Monday. A third top poll in the United Soccer Coaches will release its rankings on Tuesday.
The 2023 season for the WVU Men’s Soccer team continues to be a historic one beginning with setting an attendance record at Dick Dlesk Stadium and Monday’s ranking which is the first time the Mountaineers have been ranked No. 1 in any national poll in the teams 63 years of existence.
At this point in time, WVU is ranked second in the Sun Belt Conference behind UCF.

The Mountaineer men’s soccer team has two games left on the schedule at Kentucky on Oct. 27 and against Old Dominion at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium on Oct. 31.
