WVU RB CJ Donaldson Carries West Virginia to Two Early Touchdowns Against TCU
MORGANTOWN, W.Va – Mountaineers running back CJ Donaldson was given a heavy workload for the squad’s first two drives, totaling nine carries and scoring both of West Virginia’s touchdowns.
Donaldson, who recorded five carries on the first drive, plunged in from one yard out with 4:27 left in the first quarter before adding another one-yard touchdown to open the second frame.

The freshman running back has already compiled 74 yards under one minute into the second quarter, averaging 8.2 yards per rush.
This stat line shows increased trust in Donaldson, who had scored multiple touchdowns for the third time this season, after the Mountaineers coaching staff gave him just 10 touches in the opener against Pittsburgh due to an issue with his conditioning.
