WVU RB Jahiem White Offers Update Following Surgery
A season that opened with so much hype for Jahiem White ended in the middle of Week 2. And even though the Mountaineers were able to find a spark behind Tye Edwards and beat Pitt, WVU fans are still missing White just the same.
Feeling the support from Mountaineer Nation, White offered an update following successful surgery on Wednesday.
“Thank you to Dr. ElAttrache and the staff at Kerlan-Jobe Surgery Center. Out of surgery. It went great. On the road to recovery, Thank you for all the continued prayers and support,” said White.
White went down late in the first half of WVU’s loss to Ohio after the combination of a horse caller and face mask sent him to the ground. He was eventually helped off the field and then carted to the locker room.

WVU would open the next week announcing White would miss the rest of the season.
At the time of his exit, White had ran for 40 yards on six carries with a touchdown. His 2025 season ends after just 24 carries and 133 yards. He scored two touchdowns in the season opening win over Robert Morris.
