West Virginia University will increase capacity in the WVU Coliseum to 1,500 for WVU’s Feb. 6 game in Morgantown against Kansas.

Last week’s game against Florida was the first with fans allowed inside the arena this season, with a capacity of 1,000.

According to a release from the school, there will not be a public sale of tickets. Active members of the Mountaineer Athletic Club at the Blue Scholar level and high will be contacted about ticket and parking availability. The online student ticketing process will also be in place.

Face coverings are required for all spectators at the WVU Coliseum with the exception of when eating or drinking.

“For the safety of everyone, we continue to work with University, local and state officials to determine the capacity at our events in the Coliseum,” WVU athletic director Shane Lyons said in the release from the school. “It’s great that we were able to increase our capacity as we head into February and hopefully things will continue to trend in a positive direction.”

The WVU-Kansas game will be broadcast by CBS.
