West Virginia Drops Six Spots in This Week’s AP Poll

After dropping a close game to unranked Florida on Saturday, West Virginia (11-5, 4-3 Big 12) dropped six spots to No. 17 in this week’s AP Top 25 Poll. Following their win, the Gators broke into the ranking at No. 22.

The Mountaineers also played then-No. 10 Texas Tech last Monday, upsetting the Red Raiders 88-87. This week, WVU is scheduled to play Iowa State Tuesday and No. 23 Kansas on Saturday.

Other Big 12 teams in this week’s ranking are No. 2 Baylor, No. 6 Texas, No. 9 Oklahoma, No. 13 Texas Tech and No. 23 Kansas. Oklahoma State also received 111 votes.
