West Virginia transfer Patrick Suemnick announced on Saturday afternoon that he is heading to DePaul for his final year of eligibility. Suemnick entered the transfer portal on April 10, leaving the Mountaineers after two seasons.

Suemnick averaged 4.1 points and 2.6 rebounds through 32 games for the Mountaineers this past season. The 6-foot-8 forward filled in for Jesse Edwards, who dealt with a fractured wrist injury for over a month during the season and posted 8.2 points and 4.8 rebounds during his six starts. Suemnickโ€™s highlight of the 2023-24 season occurred vs. Kansas, scoring 20 points and leading the Mountaineers to an upset win over the then-No. 3 Jayhawks.

Suemnick joined West Virginiaโ€™s team in 2022 under former HC Bob Huggins. The Green Bay, Wi. native previously played at Robert Morris and Triton College (JUCO) before WVU. Suemnick stayed with the Mountaineers following Hugginsโ€™ resignation, joining interim HC Josh Eilert.

Suemnick has one year of eligibility remaining.
