WVU Women’s Basketball Signs Former Pitt Forward

WVU women’s basketball head coach Mark Kellogg announced the addition of Divine Tumba Tshibuabua from Longueuil, Quebec, Canada and transferring from Pitt.

“We are excited to add another young piece to the roster in Divine,” Kellogg said. “She is a skilled forward who has a nice mix of strength and skill. Divine will help us in the paint and rebounding the ball. We are excited to welcome Divine to our Mountaineer basketball family.”

The 6-foot-2 forward from Longueuil, Quebec, Canada, has played one season of collegiate basketball with four seasons of eligibility left after beginning her career at Pitt. She sat out the 2025-26 season and will come to Morgantown as a redshirt freshman.

Tshibuabua played high school basketball in Canada for Royal Crown Academy. There, she helped the team win the Grind Session World Championship as the first Canadian team to ever accomplish the feat. She tallied 12 points and eight rebounds in the final.

She comes to West Virginia with plenty of international and high-level accomplishments. For Team Canada U18 at the championships in 2024, where she averaged 8.8 points and a team-high 6.7 rebounds to lift the squad to a silver medal.

Divine was named tournament MVP at Boston vs. New York Battle at Dyckman Park (2024), Mecca NYC and Game Point All-Star (2023). She was recognized as an Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association All-Star, Royal Crown Team MVP and a Nike All-Canadian Game All-Star.
