WVU WR Sam James Announces Plans to Declare for NFL Draft
“Roll da dice” is how West Virginia wide receiver Sam James captioned his post to announce he looking to the next level.
James, who could’ve returned to WVU for one more season of eligibility, has decided to instead declare for the upcoming NFL Draft. He has been a Mountaineer since 2018 and was recruited by Neal Brown’s predecessor Dana Holgorsen.
James caught 46 balls for 745 yards and six touchdowns during the 2022 season. Off the field, the Georgia native also was selected to the Big 12 “Champions for Life” program due to his work in growing awareness about mental health.
