WVU’s Kysre Gondrezick Selected Fourth Overall By Indiana in 2021 WNBA Draft
Former Mountaineer Kysre Gondrezick did not have to wait long for her name to be called in the WNBA Draft Thursday night, as she was selected fourth overall by the Indiana Fever.

A senior this season, Gondrezick led WVU to a Big 12 Championship appearance and to the second round of the NCAA women’s tournament. She averaged a career-best 19.5 points and 4.5 assists per game en route to being a unanimous First Team All-Big 12 selection.
Being taken fourth overall makes Gondrezick the highest draft pick in WVU program history.

Gondrezick averaged 17.1 points per game in her three seasons as a Mountaineer. She transferred to West Virginia after spending the 2016-17 at Michigan and made her Mountaineer debut in the 2018-19 season.
Indiana went 6-16 during the 2020 WNBA season, finishing fifth in the Eastern Conference.
