Carey Adds Third Transfer to WVU this Spring, Oregon State Guard Savannah Samuel
West Virginia women’s basketball coach Mike Carey has added a third transfer to the Mountaineers this offseason, announcing the addition of Savannah Samuel Friday morning.

Samuel (6-foot-1) will come to WVU as a sophomore after spending her freshman season at Oregon State. Samuel, a guard, averaged 3.4 points and 1.1 rebounds in 19 games for the Beavers this season. She shot 32.8% from the floor and 14.3% from 3-point range and scored in double figures twice.
A Georgia native, Samuel played as both a ball-handler and a shooter at OSU.

Samuel is the third player to transfer to the Mountaineers this spring, joining All-BIG EAST forward Ari Gray from Xavier and center Yemiyah Morris from Mississippi State.
