WVU’s Sean McNeil Named Co-Big 12 Player of the Week
West Virginia men’s basketball junior Sean McNeil has been named the Co-Big 12 Player of the Week, sharing the honor with Oklahoma’s Austin Reaves.

McNeil started both of WVU’s games last week, his first starts since the beginning of January, and turned in career performances in both of them, averaging 23.5 points per game.
Against Texas Tech on Tuesday, McNeil scored a career-high 26 points on 8 of 11 shooting with five 3-pointers. On Saturday, McNeil again surpasses 20 points, scoring 21 on 7 of 14 shooting also with five 3-pointers. McNeil is tied for third in the Big 12 this season with 45 made treys. He is averaging 3.7 made 3-pointers over WVU’s last six contests.
Reaves meanwhile, scored 28 points with nine rebounds and seven assists and hit the game-winner in Oklahoma’s double-overtime victory against the Mountaineers on Saturday.
