Yesterday morning, West Virginia offered class of 2021 wide receiver Derwin Burgess Jr. (5’11” 180 lbs) of Marietta, Georgia.

Burgess was elated when he learned of the Mountaineers’ offer, “I was happy of course and I just want to thank them for giving me the offer and see how things play out for me at their school. I love WVU football. I fell more in love with it while I was growing up watching Tavon Austin.” he said.

He also told us that he has “a pretty good relationship” with coach Al Pogue although coach is not able to go into detail since he is only a sophomore. A visit to West Virginia is “most definitely” going to happen according to Burgess, with the date to be determined.

Burgess also holds offers from Southeast Missouri, Troy and Georgia Tech.
