Last night, West Virginia extended an offer to class of 2021 offensive tackle Colston Powers (6’4″ 290 lbs) of Daleville, VA.

“It was a huge offer for me. Very unexpected, but I had been wanting to visit WVU for awhile but just hadn’t had the chance to get up there yet. Then to get that news from Coach Moore yesterday was great.” Colston said.

“I’m really looking forward to getting up to Morgantown, I’ve heard very good things about the new staff so that sticks out to me. It makes me just want to get up there and see what they have going on and how they work things. I have a feeling it’s going to be something special. It’s a big time school, big time football and is a top level program for sure.”

Offensive line coach Matt Moore is the lead recruiter for Colston and he further commented on his relationship with him. “To be honest, yesterday was the first time I’d ever met him and we only had about a five minute talk, but he seems like a great guy and I’m ready to grow that relationship.”

Colston told DubVNation that a visit has not been scheduled yet, but should know more in a week or so.

He also holds offers from Louisville, Virginia and Coastal Carolina.
