West Virginia stays in the running to land a commitment from a three-star running back in the 2024 class.

Listed at 5’10” and 200 pounds, Traevon Dunbar, a Midland Valley High School prospect from Graniteville, South Carolina, posted an update to his list of potential schools. WVU is joined by Arkansas, Boston College, Maryland, Penn State and Virginia Tech. These are all programs Dunbar has already visited.

Dunbar had over a dozen offers before cutting down his list to a top six. He’s ranked as the eighth best player in South Carolina and the number 33 running back in the country for his class by 247 Sports. On3.com places Dunbar as the number 545 overall 2024 player in the entire country.

Despite adding top recruits at the running back position in 2023 like Jahiem White and already having strength on the roster, the Mountaineers are always in the market for a skilled back.
