2025 3-Star WR Celebrates WVU Football Offer by Talking to Tavon Austin
An offer from the WVU football program and a conversation with a legend made for a great Sunday for class of 2025 wide receiver Teriq Mallory.
The three-star speedster out of New Haven, Connecticut received an offer from the Mountaineers and then celebrated by talking with Tavon Austin. “Just got off the phone with MY GOAT TAVON AUSTIN after being offered by WVU,” said Mallory.

Mallory (6-foot-5, 192 pounds) also mentioned WVU wide receivers coach Bilal Marshall in one of his posts on X (Twitter). Marshall is Mallory’s lead recruiter.
Ranked as a three-star prospect by Rivals, Mallory attends Cheshire Academy. Mallory’s West Virginia offer is his fourth from a Division I program.

WVU now joins Connecticut, Maryland and Massachusetts as schools to show an interest in Mallory. While Rivals has awarded Mallory as a three-star wide receiver, other major recruiting outlets actually have his position more fluid and regarded as just an athlete.
