Former MTSU Receiver Zack Dobson Transfers to West Virginia
Even though camp has started, the West Virginia Mountaineers are still adding to their roster for this upcoming season. On his Twitter last night, former Middle Tennessee State wide receiver Zack Dobson announced he has transferred to WVU.

Dobson (5-foot-8, 164lbs.) will come to WVU as a junior with the ability to redshirt this season if he does not get a waiver to play. In two seasons with the Blue Raiders, Dobson played in 17 games, catching 31 passes for 413 yards and seven touchdowns. He also ran the ball 33 times for 327 yards and another score.
In 2019 Dobson was the team’s fourth-leading receiver with 242 yards on 16 receptions. He also scored three times.
Coming out of Fulton High School in Knoxville, Tennessee in 2017, Dobson was rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports. MTSU was his only FBS offer along with Austin Peay, Charleston Southern, Gardner-Webb and Jackson State.
Dobson is the second transfer WVU had gotten in recent week, joining former Virginia lineman Ja’Quay Hubbard.
Dobson entered his name into the transfer portal earlier this summer in June.
Former WVU running back Martell Pettaway transferred to Middle Tennessee earlier this year.
