WVU Senior Kysre Gondrezick Named to Naismith Trophy Midseason Watch List
West Virginia guard Kysre Gondrezick has been named to the midseason watch list for the 2021 Naismith Trophy for Women’s College Player of the Year, WVU announced Tuesday.

Gondrezick, a redshirt-senior, is leading the Mountaineers in scoring this season, averaging a career-best 21.5 points per game. She also leads WVU in assists (76), steals (28) and 3-pointers (38). Gondrezick has scored 20 or more points in 12 of WVU’s 16 games this season, including in eight of the last nine. Over the team’s current 10-game winning streak she is averaging 23.7 points per game.
Other Big 12 players on the 30-player watch list include Texas’s Charli Collier, Iowa State’s Ashley Joens, Oklahoma State’s Natasha Mack and Baylor’s NaLyssa Smith.
