CBB Coaching Carousel: Baylor’s Scott Drew to Louisville Shot Down
Head coach Scott Drew is expected to remain at Baylor, Stadium’s Jeff Goodman reported on Wednesday night. This comes in spite of Drew constantly being linked to the Louisville job since their search began.
BREAKING: Baylor’s Scott Drew will remain at Baylor, sources told @TheFieldOf68.
Drew obviously had been a top target of Louisville and other schools.

Sources mentioned that Drew has been on Louisville’s radar this month, making him their top target to take over for Kenny Payne, who was fired last week. Now with Drew out of the picture, Louisville is expected to target Dusty May (FAU) as well as other high-major coaches.
May has been linked with the West Virginia job this offseason. Though it seemed like a dream hire for Wren Baker and WVU, it seems even less likely now.
Scott Drew has coached at Baylor since 2003, completing one of the best rebuilds in college basketball history. Drew coached the Bears to the National Championship in 2021. Drew has turned Baylor into a new blood in college basketball.
WVU is still linked with Mark Byington (James Madison), Niko Medved (Colorado State), Darian DeVries (Drake) and others. Here’s a list of high-major jobs available around the country.
