WVU Football Offense against Pitt in Backyard Brawl

With spring practice over and summer approaching, it’s the time of the year fans are busy talking smack and making predictions about what they think (and hope) will happen in the fall. In keeping up with that theme of the season, Mike Asti posed a WVU football “would you rather?” question to his viewers and listeners on a recent show.

Asti then brought that segment to social media, sparking a debate on X (Twitter).

Here is the hypothetical scenario discussed: WVU football fans, would you rather beat Penn State and Pitt, BUT disappoint in conference play OR lose those non conference games, BUT end up winning the Big 12?

West Virginia’s 2024 season gets underway when the Mountaineers welcome Penn State to Milan Puskar Stadium on August 31. The kickoff time for the game is still yet to be announced. Neal Brown and his team are looking to avenge last year’s 38-15 loss to the Nittany Lions at Beaver Stadium that opened the 2023 season.

A conference title would be West Virginiaโ€™s 16th in program history and first since joining the Big 12.
