Al-Rasheed Benton Signs as Undrafted Free Agent

Former West Virginia linebacker and captain of the Mountaineer defense, Al-Rasheed Benton has signed with the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent. Benton was a force in Tony Gibson’s defense and finished his last two years strong becoming one of the nation’s best run stoppers.

Benton will join a linebacking corps that includes Brandon Chubb, Jarrad Davis, Jonathan Freeney, Christian Jones, Devon Kennard, Steve Longa and Jalen Reeves-Maybin.
