Former West Virginia Mountaineer pitcher Alek Manoah continues to impress for the Toronto Blue Jays Minor League affiliate Vancouver Canadians.

In his sixth appearance for the Canadians against the Salem Keizer Volcanoes (San Fransico Giants), Manoah went four innings and set a new career-high with eight strikeouts.

They’ve brought the big right-hander along slowly, debuting him back on July 27th in a one-inning start, due to throwing over 100 innings during his time in Morgantown. However, this marks back-to-back games Manoah’s gone four innings.

Manoah has went 17 innings on the season and has accumulated 27 strikeouts. His season ERA sits at 2.65.
