Following the final game of the preseason, the Seattle Seahawks surprisingly cut former West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith.

The move was a surprise considering that Smith was the only other quarterback on the teams roster. Just one day after being released, the Seahawks signed him once again.

Smith completed 53% of his passes during his three appearances in the preseason, throwing for 282 yards and 2 touchdowns.

He will now back up Russell Wilson in 2019 and is currently the only back up on the roster.
