BREAKING: West Virginia WR Marcus Simms to return for senior season

Morgantown, WV – This morning, I spoke with a family member of Marcus Simms and received word that Marcus, will indeed be returning for his senior year at WVU. Today is the last day for players to declare for the NFL Draft.

After meeting with Coach Brown, Simms feels like he can be the go to guy in 2019 and Coach Brown is thrilled with what he saw on tape.

Simms has 87 career receptions for 1,457 yards and 8 touchdowns. He started off the 2018 season as the most consistent receiver the Mountaineers had, but for whatever reason they stopped going his way.  He ended the season injured following a concussion during the Oklahoma game and missed the bowl game vs Syracuse.

This year he caught 46 balls for 699 yards and 2 touchdowns. He will certainly be one of the leaders on the offensive side of the ball in 2019.
