Former West Virginia guard Chase Harler is continuing his professional basketball career, moving to Sweden after spending last season with Palangos Kursiai in Lithuania.

Harler will join Jamtland in the Swedish Basketball League for the 2021-22 season, the team announced on Twitter Wednesday morning.

Harler, a native of Moundsville, W.Va, spent four seasons in Morgantown, playing a key role off the bench for Bob Huggins’ Mountaineers. In four seasons, Harler averaged 3.5 points, one rebound and one assist per game while shooting 37% from the field and 31% from 3-point range.

As a senior, Harler averaged 4.4 points per game, 1.1 rebounds and one assist per game while playing in 31 games (two starts) in the COVID-shortened season.

Before heading to Sweden for the season later this year, Harler will continue to be involved with Best Virginia’s TBT run. BV will play Team 23 in the Round of 16 with tip-off scheduled for 9 p.m. on Wednesday.
