Gold Team Defeats Blue 37-31 in West Virginia Debut Scrimmage

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — On Friday night, the gold team defeated the blue team 37-31 to conclude the Gold-Blue Debut event for West Virginia men’s basketball.

The scrimmage lasted two 12-minute halves. Emmitt Matthews, Tre Mitchell and Pat Suemnick did not participate in the scrimmage to due to being banged up with nagging injuries.

Gold:

Jamel King – 10 PTS, 4/7 FG

Mohamed Wague – 12 PTS, 6/8 FG, 8 REB

James Okonkwo – 8 PTS, 3/5 FG

Joe Toussaint – 4 PTS, 2/7 FG, 5 AST

Erik Stevenson – 3 PTS, 1/8 FG, 3 BLKS
