In-State Lineman Commits to WVU Football

WVU football picked up a commitment from in-state lineman Trevor Bigelow Tuesday morning.
Bigelow (6-2, 260) is a two-way lineman from Fairmont Senior. He earned first-team all-state honors as both an offensive lineman and defensive lineman this season.
After a great visit and a offer from @RealCoachRod and @coachpkirkland I've decided to stay home and play football to represent The Great State of West Virginia. #Hardedge #BB90 @CoalfieldsCo @PrepRedzoneWV @zfrazier54 @DariusStills56 @Dstills55 @WESLEYBROWNSR pic.twitter.com/PgHVrmdEaM

Fairmont Senior won Class AA State Championships during Bigelow’s freshman and junior seasons. Bigelow earned first-team all-state honors as a junior and was an all-state honorable mention as a sophomore.
Bigelow drew interest from the previous WVU football staff but was re-engaged by head coach Rich Rodriquez and special teams coordinator Pat Kirkland recently before announcing his commitment.
Bigelow is unrated as a prospect but drew interest from several other programs. He held offers from Mercyhurst, VMI and Morehead State and was also in contact with Stony Brook, Lehigh, California (Pa.), Cornell, Old Dominion, App State, Colgate, UNLV, Marshall and Charlotte, among others.
This continues the recent pipeline of Fairmont Senior linemen joining the Mountaineers. Darius and Dante Stills as well as Zach Fraizer all had standout college careers at WVU following their time as a Polar Bear.
Bigelow is the latest in-state product to commit to WVU this cycle, joining Spring Mills’s Max Anderson and Bridgeport’s Carter Zuliani.
