A member of new WVU basketball head coach Ross Hodge’s initial coaching staff at North Texas, Jase Herl has followed Hodge to Morgantown as an assistant coach.

Herl even confirmed his arrival in Morgantown with a post and GIF on Sunday.

Herl’s coaching career began at his alma mater, Colorado Mesa, as an assistant coach in 2010. He made stops at Northwest Kansas (head coach) and South Plains College (assistant coach) before landing at Colorado State in 2016.

Herl was named interim head coach at Colorado State in 2018 at just 30 years old. He went 1-5 as interim head coach, notching a win over San Jose State in his first game.
