Miles McBride Finishes With 14 Points in Knicks Second Summer League Win
On Sunday night, former WVU guard Miles “Deuce” McBride finished with 14 points in the New York Knicks 101-69 victory over the Chicago Bulls. The Knicks move on to 2-0 in the 2022 NBA Summer League campaign.
McBride also recorded six assists, three rebounds and three steals on 6-of-8 shooting from the field. McBride finished with the highest plus-minus on his team with +31 in the 24 minutes that he checked in for.
McBride is averaging 14.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 2.0 steals through two Summer League games.

In April, McBride finished his rookie season with the Knicks, playing with the NBA team and the G-League team throughout the season. The Cincinnati native appeared in 40 games averaging 2.2 points, 1.1 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 9.3 minutes per contest. In the G-League, McBride was putting up video game-like numbers for the Westchester Knicks. McBride averaged 27.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, 11.2 assists and 2.7 steals through six G-League games. The ex-Mountaineer shot 47 percent from the field, 50 percent from three and 78 percent from the free-throw line.
According to Basketball Reference, McBride will earn $1.5 million during the 2022-23 season.
McBride played at West Virginia from 2019-21, appearing in 60 games for the Mountaineers. McBride averaged 12.6 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.3 assists. In his sophomore season, McBride was named to the All-Big 12 Second Team, as he led WVU to a No. 3 seed in the 2021 NCAA Tournament.
