PFF names WVU Football OL Zach Frazier to All-Big 12 team

As the NFL Draft fast approaches, another member of the national media is throwing out a take abbot Zach Frazier. Peter Schrager of NFL Network is projecting Frazier will go in the first round in his new mock draft to the Detroit Lions.

Then, offensive line guru Duke Manyweather says that Frazier, who went 29th in that mock draft, has teams before the 29th overall pick that have their eye on Frazier.

As far as other media, ESPN NFL Draft analyst Matt Miller released his top rankings for this 2024 class, and has Zach Frazier as the 29th overall player. Miller thinks there could be a first-round buzz around the former Mountaineer.

“Frazier was a four-time West Virginia state champion wrestler in high school, and that level of agility, toughness and strength is exactly what you want in a center prospect. Coming from a wide-zone scheme, he’s ideal for the modern NFL — and if teams are comfortable with his recovery from a leg injury that ended his 2023 season early, expect late-Round 1 talk,” Miller wrote.

Miller’s comparison for Frazier is Creed Humphrey. Frazier is expected to be drafted within the first two rounds, and that expectation gained even more steam based on his measurements and workout at the NFL Combine. Despite not even testing, he helped himself out, checking in at 6-foot-2 1/2 and 313 pounds with 32 1/4-inch arms and 10 7/8-inch hands. He has a 7.66 Relative Athletic Score out of 10.

Frazier did not run at the combine while recovering from a broken leg that prematurely ended his 2023 season with the Mountaineers, but he did test at the 2024 Big 12 Pro Day. There, Frazier ran a 5.24-second 40-yard dash, a 4.69-second shuttle, 7.85-second three-cone drill, an 8-foot-4 broad jump and a 28 1/2-inch vertical jump.

Frazier was in Pittsburgh for a pre-draft visit with the Steelers over the weekend.
