Pat Bryant Chooses Illini over Mountaineers

After a couple of days of waiting, three-star Florida receiver Pat Bryant has announced that he has decided to commit to Illinois over West Virginia this afternoon.

Illinois and West Virginia were the final two schools Bryant (6-foot-3, 187 lbs.) was considering, he announced on Twitter last week.

West Virginia first offered Bryant in June 2019 and Illinois offered him earlier this year in April. Neither team was originally in Bryant’s top-six schools he listed in January but became his top-two choices as the year went on.

Both 247Sports and rivals rates Bryant as a three-star prospect and 247 has him as the 141st best receiver and 101st best recruit out of Florida this year.

He is the seventh commit in Illinois’s 2021 class and the first receiver.

WVU has 11 2021 players committed, including receivers Kaden Prather from Maryland and Andrew Wilson-Lamp from Ohio.
