Class of 2020 defensive back Buddy Mack (Duncan, SC) is coming off of a visit to Morgantown over the weekend and walked a way with an offer from the coaching staff.

“I was very excited, I was smiling from ear to ear.” Mack said on the offer. “I love the facilities, weight program and how academics play a huge part in their success.” he added.

Mack might be new to West Virginia, but is no stranger to wide receivers coach Xavier Dye, whom he’s had a previous relationship with. “Coach Dye and I have a really good relationship. He’s watched my game grow since I was in middle school and he was a GA (grad assistant) at Clemson.” Mack stated.

When asked his perception of West Virginia football he responded, “It’s a program on their way back to the top like when Tavon Austin was there.”

Mack holds well over 20 offers and said the schools that stand out to him most are Indiana, Pittsburgh,  North Carolina Central, Temple, NC A&T, Marshall, Memphis and West Virginia.

Mack also informed me that he does intend on making another trip back to Morgantown and that a decision date has not been set at this time.

Stay tuned to DubVNation for the latest on Mack’s recruitment.
