Twitter Reaction: Most WVU Basketball Fans Done with Season, Others Hopeful
All the excitement leading up to the game quickly left WVU basketball fans after watching the Mountaineers fall to UMass by the score of 87-79 on Saturday night.
Below are some of the current thoughts of members of Mountaineer Nation. While most fans are ready to throw in the towel on the season, there are some who still feel there’s some glimmer of hope when the full team starts to gel. The issue might very well be that it will be too little and too late when that starts to happen.
This team sucks. Having Kerr and Noah back made no differnce

We gotta have 2 full halves of basketball. Rebounding, fast break defense and offense, and GUARDING THE 3.. #WVU

WVU scoring 50 in the 2nd half is a good sign…BUT, like the WVU football secondary…this team is showing other signs of very poor defense…maybe Battle can change that…maybe playing Akok more as he builds up stamina will help. We'll see.

So little discipline. Lots of talent but it’s a free for all on tbt court

Wren needs to be working the phones, Eilert ain’t it

WVU basketball team needs a coach. Team has no clue what it’s doing on defense. Can’t rebound or anything close of boxing out. All this goes on the AD. Awful hire made awful hire. Go figure.

Terrible game by the WVU Men’s Basketball team. They were dominated on the boards. Missed a bunch of gimmes and Jesse Edwards was clearly not himself.

WVU is soooooo bad at basketball that it’s comical.

I regret to report that WVU Basketball is, in fact, not back
