Twitter Reaction: WVU Fans Admit Being Wrong About Mountaineers

Few expected WVU would have a winning record, let alone be two wins shy of accomplishing bowl eligibility on the first day of October.

And after West Virginia’s win on the road at TCU, members of Mountaineer Nation took to social media to show their appreciation for their team fighting to a 4-1 record thanks to four straight victories.

I’ll say this… even though us fans may still not “trust the climb”, it’s becoming clear that these kids do. They’re playing for each other, and for their coach, and that’s good enough for me.

Think about it: a top 10 and 11-1 WVU team defeats a 12-0 and top 5 Texas team in the Big 12 title game. Would the CFP Committee put the Mountaineers in with their only loss being to Penn State?

Neal Brown is 100 percent correct when he said nobody expected the Mountaineers would go 4-1 to end September, I forsure didn't, I had Penn St and TCU circled as most likely L's but I'm always so happy to be proved wrong with a WVU win! Win or Loose I love my Mountaineers!
