Two Mountaineers Earn Preseason All-Big 12 Honors

This morning, the Big 12 announced their preseason All-Big 12 honors.

Sophomore forward, Derek Culver has been named an honorable mention to the Preseason All-Big 12 team. Culver is coming off a fantastic freshman season averaging 11.5 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 0.7 blocks per game.

Freshman center, Oscar Tshiebwe has been named the Big 12 Preseason Freshman of the Year. Tshiebwe is only the second player to come into Morgantown as a McDonalds All-American. Chris Brooks (1986) is the other Mountaineer to receive those honors. There have been extremely high expectations put on him and I truly believe he will go above and beyond those expectations. Look for this young man to be on the All-Big 12 team at seasons end.
