Jarret Doege

Former West Virginia Mountaineer Jarret Doege now has a couple professional touchdown passes to his credit, including one crazy highlight.

On Sunday, Doege, who now plays for the CFL’s Edmonton Elks, managed to show off some athleticism by spinning off defenders and getting a pass off that ended up going 85 yards for a touchdown. Not only did Doege escape the pocket to complete the pass, but he stayed upright after getting absolutely rocked by a defender.

Overall in game, Doege threw for 163 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Despite the amazing play and solid day, Doege’s Elks team fell to the Toronto Argonauts 43-31. Doege now has a touchdown passes, but is still in search of his first win as a professional. Edmonton fell to 0-3 after loss.

Jarret Doege spent three of his college years as a Mountaineer. He threw for 6,453 passing yards and 40 touchdowns in 27 career games and was second in the Big 12 Conference in passing completions in 2020 and 2021.
