WATCH: Parker, Doege Discuss Facing Oklahoma State’s Experienced Defense
West Virginia offensive coordinator Gerad Parker and starting quarterback Jarret Doege spoke to members of the media Tuesday afternoon ahead of the team’s Big 12 opener against Oklahoma State Saturday.
While discussing the OSU defense, both Parker and Doege highlighted the importance of being able to beat the Cowboys’ man coverage, especially on third down. Parker said OSU being able to play man coverage and generate pass rush only rushing four is what makes them so effective on third downs. Doege said it will be important for WVU to hit big plays make Oklahoma State pay when they bring extra pass rushers.
