On Monday afternoon, West Virginia extended an offer to 2024 guard Casmir Chavis (6-foot-4) from Minnesota. He is from Park Center, Minnesota and also plays for JSizzle 17s in AAU.

Chavis announced his offer on his social media accounts.

“Truly blessed to receive an offer from coach Bob Huggins and the staff from West Virginia,” Chavis wrote.

Chavis just completed his sophomore season at Park Center Senior High School in Minneapolis. Chavis appeared in 10 games averaging 7.8 points for the Pirates.

Chavis joins Ohio power forward Tyler McKinley as the second player offered by West Virginia. McKinley is a 4-star prospect from Walnut Hills, Ohio. West Virginia head coach Bob Huggins visited McKinley in Cincinnati back in March.

WV Sports Now will keep up to date with the latest recruiting and transfer portal news during the off-season.
