West Virginia Football Lands Kentucky DL Transfer

The WVU football program is able to claim another transfer player. Kentucky transfer defensive lineman Tomiwa Durojaiye has committed to the Mountaineers.

Durojaiye tweeted “take me home West Virginia” in a tweet to announce the news Thursday afternoon. This comes just a few days after his visit to WVU.

Listed at 6-foot-4 and 278 pounds, Durojaiye has four years of eligibility. He appeared in three games for the Wild Cats during the 2022 season.

The Middletown, Delaware native was classified as a three-star recruit in the 2022 class out of Middletown High School. He ended up picking Kentucky over WVU out of high school.

To put what Durojaiye was thought of as a recruit into perspective, he was ranked as the number 42 defensive end in the nation by Rivals.

Defensive line is a position WVU football head coach Neal Brown brought up while discussing what West Virginia is searching for in the Transfer Portal.

West Virginia did also secure a commitment from transfer defensive lineman Tyrin Bradley recently.
