West Virginia Football Makes Push for 2024 3-Star DE Daylen Russell

Published

Even though he’s already made his top five public, West Virginia still decided to extend an offer to Daylen Russell.

A member of the 2024 class, Russell attends Christopher Columbus High School in Miami, Florida. He’s listed at 6’3”, 255 pounds and considered among the 100 best prospects in the state of Florida.

Rivals ranks Russell as the number 55 Florida player in his class while On3 places him as the 51st defensive lineman in the state.

Florida State, Louisville, Miami, UCF and Nebraska are members of his current top five and WVU’s competition in their hope of acquiring a commitment from Russell.

This late push to land Russell shows the Mountaineers’ interest in recruiting Florida talent.
