West Virginia Receives Zero Votes in AP Poll

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – In the second edition of the AP Poll released this season, West Virginia did not receive any votes.

The Mountaineers (2-0) are coming off defeating Oakland and Pitt this week.

In the pre-season poll, WVU was not voted into the top-25 and did not receive any votes. This ends the 19-straight poll release that WVU appeared in the top 25, the first time since March 2, 2020. West Virginia appeared in every poll released for the 2020-21 season, with their highest ranking being at No. 6 and their lowest at No. 17.

In the Big 12, Kansas (No. 3), Texas (No. 8), Baylor (No. 9) all are in the top-25, while Texas Tech and Oklahoma State are receiving votes.
