West Virginia Showing Interest in Highly Coveted 2024 4-Star WR Micah Gilbert

One of the top receivers in the 2024 recruiting class announced receiving an offer from West Virginia.
Micah Gilbert, a four-star prospect who attends Charlotte Christian High School in Charlotte, North Carolina, tweeted about the offer Friday evening. The offer to Gilbert is just the latest in WVU’s interest in replenishing the future of the wide receiver position beyond the upcoming 2023 season.

Gilbert has a bigger body than most of the others in his class. He’s listed at 6’3” and just over 200 pounds, according to 247 Sports. His size and ability are leading to top 40 rankings among all receivers around the country. Rivals has him at 40 while 247 has him at 37 and the seventh best prospect in North Carolina. Both outlets have firmly awarded Gilbert four stars overall.
To no surprise, the Mountaineers have competition in recruiting Gilbert. He’s also received offers from 14 other schools, including major programs like BYU, Duke, Louisville, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Penn State, Pitt, Tennessee, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin.
