West Virginia’s basketball roster got even better on Wednesday with a commitment from Montana State transfer guard RaeQuan Battle. Let’s take a look at who’s currently on the team with an updated list.

Guards:

RaeQuan Battle / Montana State transfer

Kobe Johnson

Kerr Kriisa / Arizona transfer

Jose Perez / Manhattan transfer

Omar Silverio / Manhattan transfer

Joe Toussaint

Seth Wilson

Forwards:

Josiah Harris

Tre Mitchell

Patrick Suemnick

Bigs:

Jimmy Bell **waiting on COVID opt-in / football decision

Jesse Edwards / Syracuse transfer

James Okonkwo

Mohamed Wague

If you’re going by scholarship count, West Virginia has to make up a spot if big man Jimmy Bell stays in basketball. If Bell does decide to stick with football after the spring, WVU would have no spots remaining. It does appear by the recent portal contacts that the staff is still not finished adding players from the portal yet.

WVU’s upcoming fifth-year seniors Jose Perez, Joe Toussaint and Tre Mitchell have all announced their returns to the program for their final year of eligibility. WVU’s staff brings in three more fifth-year seniors from the portal in Battle, Jesse Edwards (Syracuse) and Omar Silverio (Manhattan) as well as fourth-year senior Kerr Kriisa (Arizona).

WV Sports Now will keep you up to date on West Virginia’s updated roster.
