WR Winston Wright Jr. officially signed with West Virginia

Savannah (GA) wide receiver Winston Wright Jr. has signed with West Virginia.

A three-star recruit according to Rivals, Wright held offers from Duke, North Carolina, Nebraska, and Kansas State before deciding on the Mountaineers.

The 5-foot-11, 166-pound receiver possess tremendous speed, strong hands, and runs great routes.

With Gary Jennings and David Sills graduating at the end of this year, West Virginia’s young group of receivers, including Wright, will be counted on to contribute early on in their careers. The Mountaineers have plenty of taller pass-catchers on the roster heading into 2019, but Wright’s speed alone will afford him playing time on special teams and as a returner. It’s hard to imagine the staff wanting to redshirt too many receivers next season and I highly doubt Wright will be one of those guys if they do.
